It is a traditional seaside resort on the South coast of Samos, with all the necessary amenities.
There are three supermarkets, rent-a-bike or rent-a-car agents’, souvenir-shops, bars and
restaurants. The greenery rolls down to the sea, giving way to the clear unpolluted Aegean
blue. Visitors have a choice between secluded beaches for a romantic undisturbed tête-à-tête,
or more cosmopolitan ones with sun beds, umbrellas and sea-sport facilities, like skiing or jet skiing.

The scenery is further enhanced by the traditional fishing boats and the friendly local fishermen, some of whom
will offer the visitor a ride to Samiopoula, a nearby islet. Those who have taken one (or as usual more) such ride
will certainly recommend it. Their return is a standard sight: the stereo in the boat playing local tunes and everyone
singing along, happily drunk and enjoying every moment of it. For the evening, there are plenty of bars and restaurants along the sea front where they can continue their enjoyment. It is a recommended for people of all ages.
